Generic Links 1.0
XBRL 2.1 makes uses the XLink specification to define a syntax for between certain XBRL components, and defines a number of built-in link types with prescribed semantics and constraints.
Generic Links 1.0 generalises this by providing a link type with no predefined semantics or constraints. This can be used used as a building block for other specifications, such as Generic Labels 1.0 and Generic References 1.0 to define relationships with particular semantics.
